Robin van Persie has been handed a two-match suspension for his controversial goal celebration during Fenerbahce's victory over Besiktas.
The former Arsenal striker slid on his knees in front of Besiktas midfielder, Oguzhan Ozyakup, after the two had clashed over Van Persie's role in the sending off of Dusko Tosic earlier in the Turkish Cup tie.
Tosic had been shown a straight red card after appearing to shove Van Persie to the ground following an innocuous-looking clash in the penalty area.

The former Manchester United striker was originally given a three-match ban from the Turkish Football Federation for what it described as 'an insult to fans of the opposing team.'
However the 33-year-old Dutch striker has had his ban reduced to two games following an appeal.
Van Persie revealed after the game that his spat with Ozyakup was over his former teammate mocking his age and telling him to hang up his boots.
'After the free-kick Oguzhan told me to retire and go play in a team for old people. This annoyed me and I taught him a lesson after the goal,' Van Persie told the Hurriyet newspaper.

Fenerbahce's move to release a T-shirt riled Jelena Karelusa, the wife of Beskitas defender Tosic.
The Besiktas defender was furious with the challenge and squared up to Van Persie who theatrically threw himself on the floor.
Karleusa was not amused and soon afterwards tweeted: 'R.van Persie is one stupid motherf***er. Brake [sic] a leg a**hole!' She later deleted the post at her husband's request and followed it up with a tweet underlining that she hates 'dirty players'.
In response to Fenerbahce's T-shirt she hit back with her own top featuring the headbutting incident that got her husband sent off.

Tosic appears almost warrior like, standing over Van Persie who is crashing to the floor. The Serbian singer described the design as showing the 'strength of Besiktas', hinting that her husband should have actually headbutted him considering he could end up with a lengthy ban anyway.
Ozyakup meanwhile publically announced that his long-term friendship with Van Persie was over after the game.
'Just one thing. I was very good friends with a certain player on the field. That changed today.
'Sometimes you see the real face of a footballer on the field.'
Karleusa has since tweeted a picture of this shirt, saying 'the power of Besiktas'
Ozyakup said he was appalled by Van Persie's behaviour, saying they were no longer friends
