The destination of the Premier League title may have already been decided, but one of the most coveted individual honours is still up for grabs.

The winner of this season's golden boot for the top scorer is not yet clear - Harry Kane made a major play for it on Thursday with four goals against Leicester City, but Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are hot on his heels.

Here, Sportsmail runs the rule over each of these three attackers, and judges who is in prime position to add another trinket to their mantelpiece come Sunday evening...

HARRY KANE (Goals: 26)

How has his season gone? Had the Tottenham Hotspur striker not missed all of October with an ankle injury - which reoccurred in March, causing another absence - this race could well be over already.

Kane - who won the boot last season - has cracked the 20-goal barrier for the third year in a row, and the 25-goal mark for the second successive time.

Tottenham may have fallen short in the title race again, but Kane's star continues to rise, and he is rightly regarded as one of Europe's best strikers.

Who is his final opponent? Hull City, away. While the Tigers are usually defensively sound at home, and have something to prove following relegation, Kane will fancy putting the golden boot race to bed at the KCom. A repeat of his four-goal hunting of the Foxes will see him become the first man to score 30 in a Premier League campaign since Luis Suarez in 2014.

Odds to win: 1/14

ROMELU LUKAKU (Goals: 24)

How has his season gone? Lukaku hit his scoring straps for Everton with a hat-trick against Sunderland in September and has not looked back.

In his most impressive season of Premier League football yet, the Belgian has been top of the scoring charts for most of the season, only to be overtaken at this late stage after a four game barren run, his equal worst of the campaign.

Four goals in a 6-3 win over Bournemouth was a high point, and it is little surprise that Chelsea are interested in re-signing a player who has clearly improved since his first spell at Stamford Bridge.

Who is his final opponent? Arsenal, away. The Gunners need to win to stand any chance of grabbing a Champions League place, while Everton will finish seventh whatever happens. However the Gunners are not the most solid defensively, and there is a chance Lukaku could grab the hat-trick he needs to grab the boot.

Odds to win: 14/1

ALEXIS SANCHEZ (Goals: 23)

How has his season gone? Mixed would be the obvious word. It began very well for Sanchez. Employed in a centre forward role for the first time by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, he looked like the No 9 the Gunners had lacked for so long.

A brilliant spell over Christmas saw him top the scoring charts - seven league goals in December and January, beginning with a mesmeric hat-trick at West Ham. At the end of February, Sanchez, Lukaku, and Kane were tied on 17 goals each.

However the Chilean has gone off the boil a little since, with rumours persisting of a switch to Bayern Munich, no matter how many Arsenal fans make posters celebrating him and his dogs. A spurt of four goals in three matches has kept him in the hunt.

Who is their his opponent? Everton, at home. See the entry above, under Lukaku. No matter whether Sanchez is there next season or not, Arsenal need him to be on top form on Sunday. The neutrals will hope that the straight up Sanchez v Lukaku fight will lead to a glut of goals at both ends (although Kane will probably still win).

Odds to win: 33/1

BEST OF THE REST

Diego Costa has fired Chelsea to the Premier League title with 20 league goals this season - not bad for an aging forward who looked to be heading out the door in January after an apparent bust-up with Antonio Conte.

Sergio Aguero, golden boot winner in 2015, has 18 this season - he needs one more to beat his total for last season - while Dele Alli and the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic have 17.

A late burst has pushed the impressive Bournemouth forward Joshua King up to 16 goals, while Jermain Defoe managed 15 as the spearhead for an abysmal Sunderland side relegated in last place.
