England Women's Player of the Year Jodie Taylor will consider quitting Arsenal for a move abroad at the end of this year.

Taylor, top scorer at the European Championship this summer as England reached the semi-finals, is into the last six months of her contract and has a long-held desire to return to America.

And the striker has told Sportsmail that she is 'open to every option that's thrown my way' as she looks for the latest step of a nomadic career.

'I'm open to it (a move away),' Taylor said. 'My contract is up in December and I'm open to every option that's thrown my way — we'll see.

'I haven't had any offers to speak about right now but we'll see. I am considering all options.'

Arsenal signed forwards Vivianne Miedema and Lisa Evans from Bayern Munich this summer and their frontline has been well-stocked to cope with a potential exit.

Taylor has played a significant period of her career in the US, including a spell with Portland Thorns before she moved to Arsenal in 2015. She has also played in Australia, Canada and Sweden.

'I think I'm ready to settle in one place; it's just finding the place,' she said. 'I felt at the time in Portland that it was home, and eventually it will be — west coast in America. I'm almost in the last part of the process of getting my green card. That's always been in the works. That's a long-term plan.

'Football's such a short career and a small window that I want to make the most out of, wherever that is, so that's why I'm completely open. It's great to see the world and travel on the club side but also it's nice to have stability as well.

'It's a short football career so we'll see what happens. I don't know what I'm doing so I can't say anything other than green card long term, footballing-wise, we'll see.'

The Women's Super League season starts on Friday night with Liverpool hosting Everton. Arsenal kick off on Sunday, at home against Birmingham City.

Taylor believes, after years of injury trouble, that she is ready to follow up on her Euro Golden Boot with some solid form for the Gunners this season.

'Now that I'm actually fit and healthy I'm sure the club's seen a huge jump in my health, fitness and performance,' she said.

'I haven't been healthy in so long and of course it's going to knock your confidence when you can't play to the level you're capable of.

'I feel I'm back playing at the level I'm capable of and of course having a good tournament and winning the Golden Boot is always going to help confidence, so I'm in a good place.'

The new FA Women's Super League season kicks-off on Friday September 22 with fixtures across the FA Women's Super League 1 and Women's Super League 2. For more information on the FA WSL and to purchase tickets, visit: www.FAWSL.com
