Manchester City Council have put the tiniest of dents in Matteo Darmian's £60,000-a-week pay packet, by issuing the United defender a £60 parking ticket.
The Italy international was out in the city centre with his fiancee Francesca Cormanni in his bright red Jeep ahead of United's clash with Burnley this weekend.
And the 27-year-old's time off on Friday was soured somewhat after he received a parking ticket that will cost him 0.1% of his weekly income.
Matteo Darmian returns to his jeep on Friday to find he has been issued with a parking ticket
Darmian's fiancee Francesca Cormanni removes the parking ticket from the £32,000 Jeep
Cost: From £32,000
0-60mph speed: 8.1 to 12.9 seconds
Horse power: 147 to 209 kW
Cormanni was spotted removing the parking ticket when the pair returned to the 32,000 Jeep before they drove off.
The fine capped off a disappointing few days for Darmian, who was left out of the Manchester United squad for their win over Anderlecht on Thursday.
Marcus Rashford scored the winner as United booked their place in the last four of the Europa League and kept alive their hopes of securing Champions League football next season.
Cormanni removed the ticket and the pair drove off ahead of Sunday's clash at Turf Moor
The Italy defender played the full 90 minutes of United's 2-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend
The Italy international did play all 90 minutes of their 2-0 victory against Chelsea in their last Premier League match.
And he could be in line for a return to first-team action having been included in the United squad for this weekend's clash at Turf Moor.
Jose Mourinho's side make the short trip to journey sitting fifth in the table, four points behind Manchester City having played one game fewer. But they will be without striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who could yet miss the rest of the year with a knee injury.
