Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is hoping to finalise his move to Juventus this week for around £10million.

He is due in Italy on Tuesday for a medical and to thrash out personal terms.

Sportsmail revealed the Italian champions' interest in Szczesny earlier this summer and the Poland international is keen for the deal to be signed off after he was left off Arsenal's trip to Australia.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri sees Szczesny as the successor to Gianluigi Buffon, who is expected to retire next year.

Szczesny has one year left at Arsenal yet, despite talk of a pre-contract agreement for January, he is prepared to make the move to Italy now.

Arsenal also expect to lose David Ospina to Turkish side Fenerbahce for around £4m.

Wenger is expected to be supported by an improved transfer budget this summer and apart from a goalkeeper will also look to add a centre-back as Per Mertesacker looks to retire.
