Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin both hit the scales exactly on the middleweight limit of 160 lbs in front of 9,000 fans ahead of their huge fight on in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Canelo defied doubts about whether he might struggle to make the weight but he looked heftier than multiple world middleweight champion.

He said to Golovkin: 'I'm going to knock you out.' Golovkin replied: 'see you tomorrow night.'

Golovkin was noisily jeered and whistled and will be facing a wall of hostile sound in the T-Mobile Arena come fight time.

Prince Naseem Hamed has made a last minute application for a seat at the hottest ticket in boxing.

This will be Naz's first visit to Sin City since he lost his world featherweight title to Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera in 2001. 

Hamed will be one of a cast list of fabled fighters and A-list celebrities at the super fight for modern supremacy over the classic middleweight division. 

On the undercard Nicola Adams hit the scales on the 115 lbs super flyweight limit for her US debut.

Britain's double Olympic gold medallist and former world amateur champion said: 'Im so excited to be boxing in Las Vegas on such a huge night,' of her third professional fight - against Hungary's Alexandra Vlajk, who weighed half a pound lighter. 

Adams added: 'A win here should take me step closer to my dream of a wold title' 

Alvarez v Golovkin will be televised live on BoxNation Box Office this Saturday night.
