Nobody, group can break Nigeria – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

- he further called on Christians to take up the role of binding people of other faith together

The vice president Yemi Osinbajo has said that the federal government is committed to preserving the unity of Nigeria.

Osinbajo while speaking in Adamawa at the reception in honour of the new president of the Lutheran World Federation, Most Reverend Musa Filibus, said no individual or group is capable of splitting the nation.

The vice president also called on Nigerians to sustain the unity and dreams of Nigeria's fore fathers in being one indivisible nation.

He also encouraged all Christians to continue to work towards justice and reconciliation with citizens of other faith.

“It is our role as Christians to bind people together and we must do so by self sacrifice and love.

“On behalf of the Federal Government and Mr President, I wish you an excellence and God guided tenure as President of LWF," Osinbajo said.

Also speaking the governor of Adamawa state Mohammed Bindow said commended the reverend on his elevation.

Filibus also thanked the Adamawa state and the Nigerian government and for their support.

He also called for more support and prayers for a successful tenure fopr the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

PAY ATTENTION: Read the news on Nigeria’s #1 new app earlier reported that the vice president was in Kaduna on Saturday, September 16, for the passing out parade of cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy.

Osinbajo was received by the Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai in Afaka.

Also present at the event were; Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello, all the service chiefs of the federation, royal fathers and other top government officials.
