Election Results Cause Egyptians to Protest

Hundreds of Egyptians headed to Cairo's Tahrir square and Al-Shatbi area in Alexandria to protest against the results of the first round of Egypt's presidential election announced on Monday afternoon. The Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed Mursi and ex-prime minister Ahmed Shafiq will compete in the runoff.
Demonstrators in Cairo held banners denouncing the outcome and protested against what they called "rigging", reminding the people of the January 25 revolution martyrs and their rights.
Protesters chanted slogans including "No remnants of the former regime and no Brotherhood, the revolution is still at the square" and "Hosni Murabak still rules."
In downtown Alexandria, hundreds joined a march in Al-Shatbi to protest against the results as well.
