Cristiano Ronaldo has already set his sights on winning a third consecutive Champions League crown with Real Madrid after becoming the first player to score in all six group matches.

The Portuguese star was on target as Real beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on Wednesday night to round off a group stage campaign that saw them finish second to Tottenham in Group H.

That could put them on a collision course with group winners Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, but Ronaldo remains confident.

'Hopefully we can win the Champions League again. The important thing was to pass through the group stage and our aim is to win the Champions League,' he said.

That would be a third straight triumph for Zinedine Zidane's team after they defeated Atletico Madrid on penalties in the 2016 final and beat Juventus 4-1 earlier this year.

Ronaldo, who increased his career tally of Champions League goals to 114, set a new competition record by scoring in all six group matches and he has nine goals overall.

'I'm very happy, we wanted to finish the group stage well with a victory,' Ronaldo added. 'I also scored; I helped the team to win with a beautiful goal.

'The record is also important, I'm really pleased.'

Ronaldo scored Real's second goal at the Bernabeu after Borja Mayoral had set them on their way but two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hauled Dortmund, who were hoping to secure third and Europa League football, level.

But Lucas Vazquez scored Real's winning goal nine minutes from time to ensure they ended the group phase on a high.
