Antonio Conte and his Chelsea team made Christmas come early for youngsters at Westminster hospital this week, making a surprise visit to hand out presents and spread festive cheer.

The Blues took time out of their schedule to turn from footballers to Father Christmas for the day, making life a little easier for the youngsters while on the road to recovery.

Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and a host of the Blues top stars made an appearance to give something back to the community following a morning training session.

'It’s something all of the players look forward to every year because it’s nice for us to see the kids. They are always very happy when we arrive and you can see the excitement on their faces,' Hazard told the club's official website.

'We handed out some Chelsea presents and had photos taken with the kids so if we can spread some happiness, especially at this time of year, that’s fantastic.

'We go to the hospital every year and it’s very important for us to be able to give something back,' the winger added.

The Blues return to action this week when they host West Ham on Friday night.

Both sides will do battle at Stamford Bridge, as Conte's side bid to continue their unbeaten run and make up ground on second placed Manchester United.

United go head to head with arch rivals City in the Manchester derby on Sunday, with Conte's side eager to capitalise upon a potential slip-up.

A win for Chelsea and defeat for United would see the two side locked in joint-second on 35 points after 16 games played.
