The party issued the threat on Thursday, December 7, shortly after endorsing Buhari as its candidate in the coming presidential election, Premium Times reports.

According to the president’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, in a statement, Buhari, however did not say he accepted, neither did he decline the endorsement.

“President Buhari merely beamed with smiles and went on to underscore the need for unity in the party and among the diverse peoples of Nigeria,” the statement said.

The state chairman of the APC, Inuwa Abbas, stated that the party was moved to endorse Buhari because of his achievements in the last two years especially in the fields of security, the war against corruption and the restructuring of the economy.

“Security is important for everyone, not just for Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.

‘‘It even more so for us as a commercial and industrial state. We are convinced that you are best for these times when the country has begun to muster energy and resources to develop agriculture, infrastructure and empower the younger citizens,” Abbas said.

On his part, Governor Ganduje speaking in a humorous note, said the party was prepared to drag the president to court to force his acceptance of the second term ticket.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has said those who looted the country’s treasury over the years would best be judged by God.

Vanguard reports that he said this in Kano on Thursday, December 7, while insisting that those in authority in the past administrations ‘lavishly squandered' government treasury over the years.

NAIJ.com gathered that Buhari also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with his administration, promising that things will be better soon.
